Jason Beckman - Head Coach

Jason Co-Founded Dinger Nation in 2017, and is the current President of the Organization. He has served as a Head Coach in the Organization each year, and has been a vital part of helping young men improve on and off the field. Jason has over 20 years of Coaching experience, and is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association.
Jason graduated from Bradshaw High School where he was the 1994 Times Daily Baseball Player of the Year. Jason was a key member of the Florence American Legion Team that won the 1994 State Championship. He then attended Calhoun Community College where he served as a Team Captain, and was on the All Conference Team. In his 2 years at Calhoun he composed a .376 average and was the 3rd person in school history to record over 100 hits. Jason finished his playing career at Lambuth University, where he was All Conference finishing his Junior and Senior Season with 19 homers with an average of .390. Following his Senior Season, Coach Beckman had a brief stint playing Independent League Baseball. After his playing career, Jason assisted Colleges in Tennessee and Alabama in Summer Baseball Camps.
Coach Beckman has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Lambuth University. He is a native of Florence, Alabama where he resides with his wife Christina. They have two sons Logan and Caleb, and a daughter - Josie.
Coach Beckman was inducted into the Lauderdale County Sports Hall of Fame in March 2023.
In the Spring of 2025 Coach Beckman will serve as an Assistant Coach at Sheffield High School.
Michael Daniel -
18U Director
Director of Fall Baseball
Michael Co-Founded Dinger Nation in 2017. He has served as a Head Coach in the Organization 6 of the 7 years of Dinger Nation, and has been a Director of the Dinger Nation Fall Baseball League the last 3 years, and has been a vital part of helping young men improve on and off the field. Michael has over 20 years of Coaching experience, and is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association.
Michael graduated from Cherokee High School where he was an All-Area Pitcher. He was a member of the 1994 American Legion State Champions where he was named Alabama State MVP. Michael attended Calhoun Community College where he was selected as one of the Top 25 Junior College Players by Baseball America. Daniel was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the 1995 MLB draft in the 13th round, but opted to stay in college. After finishing up a Calhoun, Daniel attended the University of Alabama where in 1997 he composed a 6-1 record and was the winning pitcher in the SEC Championship Game. Michael pitched in the 1997 College World Series where Alabama finished runner up. He finished his playing career at Lambuth University, where he was an All American finishing his Senior Season with 2 No Hitters. After his Senior Season, Michael was drafted in the 19th round by the Texas Rangers where he played in their Minor League system. After college Michael has served as the Head Softball Coach at Covenant Christian, Asst. Softball Coach at Sheffield, Asst. Baseball Coach at Wilson. He was also the Head Coach for Muscle Shoals Dixie Youth Ozone that won the 2014 World Series.
Michael currently lives in Muscle Shoals, Alabama where he resides with his wife Christy have two sons Luke and Lane.
Coach Daniel was inducted into the Colbert County Hall of Fame in 2014.
Bryant Lash - Head Coach
17U Director
Bryant will be in his 2nd Season with Dinger Nation. Coach Lash has over 20 years of coaching experience. Bryant founded Lauderdale Elite Baseball in 2018, and served as the Head Coach the past 4 years. While with Lauderdale Elite he helped guide the organization to multiple championships, and more importantly helping young men improve at the game of baseball. Prior to founding Lauderdale Elite, Lash served as a Head Coach for Shoals Creek Baseball. He has also spent time as an Assistant Baseball Coach for Brooks High School. Bryant is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association. In his first season with Dinger Nation, Bryant's team defeated 3 of the Top 10 Teams in the Nation ranked by Perfect Game.
Bryant graduated from Brooks High School where he was an All-Area Pitcher. He was a pitcher for the Florence Cadets who won the 1994 American Legion State Championship. After High School, Lash continued his baseball career at Northwest Shoals.
Heath Davis - Head Coach

Coach Davis is in his second season with Dinger Nation
Heath has been part and coached several youth travel baseball teams, most recently the Rippers.
Cory Mason - Head Coach
Coach Mason is in his third season with Dinger Nation
Cory is a Graduate of Buckhorn High School where he starred for Bucks. After graduation, Cory went on to play baseball at Lawson State Community College, then to Shorter University where he was a 3 year starter at First Base hitting over .350 his Senior Season for the Hawks. Cory spent time as a Graduate Assistant at Shorter University, and is now the Assistant Coach at Hazel Green High School.
Omar Tompkins - Co-Head Coach
Coach Tompkins will be in his second season with Dinger Nation.
Omar is a Graduate of Russellville High School where he was a Left Handed Pitcher on their 2017 State Championship Team, and their 2018 State Runner Up. Omar then went on to Crown College before finishing up at Lane College where he was the Ace of the Staff. He was selected to the SIAC All Conference Team his last 3 Years, and voted Team Captain his Senior Year. Omar served as the Pitching Coach at Florence High School in 2023, and in 2024 served as an Assistant at Russellville High School where he works with Outfielders and Pitchers. Omar is currently the Head Coach at Sheffield High School.
Derrick Calvert - Head Coach
Coach Calvert will be in his second season with Dinger Nation.
Derrick is a Graduate of Hamilton High School where he was the starred on the baseball field for the Aggies. He went on to play for Calhoun Community College. Derrick has served as the Head Middle School Coach at Hamilton High School, and has been an Assistant at Russellville, Phillips, and Hamilton. He was on the staff of the Final 4 Team at Hamilton. Derrick also is an instructor at The Kage.
Billy English - Head Coach
Coach English will be in his first season with Dinger Nation.
Billy is a Graduate of Coffee High School and Athens State. Coach English is a former Dixie Youth Baseball District Director. He has served at Wilson High School as a Middle School, Baseball, Softball, and Football Coach. Coach English has over 25 years of Coaching experience taking multiple youth teams to State Tournaments.
Joey Tucker
